Coaches of the Region 6 community,

If you have an athlete who is currently not a member of the 2025-2026 Region Team and you want him to be considered for the 2026 Elite Team Cup for the region, here is what is required:
1.  The coach of the athlete must submit in writing why the athlete did not qualify to the regional team.  What was the injury or extenuating circumstances?
2.  Explain in writing why they should have a spot on the team.   
3.  Submit current videos showing skill/routine readiness.  Videos should be from July of 2025 to the present.  The videos should include half sets and progress of upgrades for this season on all events.
4.  Submit scores from the 2024-2025 season.  These scores should be from 2 non-championship meets plus State, Regional, and DP National or Eastern Championships. 
5.  All information should be submitted to the Region 6 Director (director@region6mensgymnastics.org).  The director will then submit the petition request to the Region 6 coaching staff for review. 

6.  All petitions should be submitted 6 weeks before the fall regional team camp (October 12, 2024 by midnight deadline). 

The Region 6 coaching staff will then consider the petitions that are submitted and send their recommendations to the Regional Board for final approval. A final decision will be made 1 month before the fall regional team camp. (October 26, 2024 by midnight)
* If a member of the Region Coaching Staff is submitting a petition then they are not a part of the review process or the final decision of their personal athlete by the regional board.
